For anyone unfamiliar, to access these settings log into your router, go to Settings -> Internet -> Primary (WAN1) (or whatever connection you want to use) -> and then under "Dynamic DNS", "Create New". Namecheap does have a guide here on how to setup DDNS, however I still had some questions afterwards personally.
- Service: Namecheap
- Hostname: @
- Alternatively, whatever you put as the A + record, as spoken about here on Namecheaps website.
- I should also clarify I'm not sure how necessary it is to use @ vs something else. I would stick with @ unless you know what you're doing.
- Username: Your domain
- So, if your domain was "website.com", that is what you'd put there without the "".
- Password: The password Namecheap gives you for DDNS
- Server: dynamicdns.park-your-domain.com
- Literally what's above. Do not replace "your-domain.com" with your actual domain.
- I'm not entirely sure this is necessary or what this does, however it seems to work for me.
