A few things I want to get out of the way at the beginning of this blog post. First up, while the Corn Maze season is close to over, it is still open at time of writing. And so if you do not want spoilers for the Maze, do not read furhter.
Second, the photos in this post were taken with my Camp Snap Camera.
With that out of the way, let me tell you about our journey at the Great Vermont Corn Maze!
The Great Vermont Corn Maze
It's a really cool place. According to the signs on the property it's the largest corn maze in New England. Each year they do a different design in the corn, so it's a fresh design to figure out! You can see some of their past designs here. They have an emergency exit that's a quick path out of the Maze if you get tired, have an emergency, or just need a bathroom break! Along the way you can collect stones at different locations you find in the Maze which is a fun little side game! There's also miscellaneous things hidden in the maze for you to find. They have the big maze, but they also have a scenic maze which is more of a guided path through the maze that brings you to all the main locations.
Michelle and My Adventure
We really gave it our all y'all. We spent about 4 hours in the Maze. We had a hint to help us through part of it. But ultimately we gave up. We were just too tired and there was a lot of back tracking up and down hills. We ended up taking the Scenic Maze out until we could find the exit path and then left. It was still a lot of fun! If we end up doing it in the future though, I think we'll try giving it one really good try before just doing the scenic maze. I'm also thinking about bringing pen and paper to try and map out our route as we go through the maze.

The first thing we were really trying to get to in the day was that boat. It's a cool thing and the last time we went there were stones there. A lot harder than it seems since even though you know the genral direction you want to go, the paths often lead you away from it
This is one of my favorite shots of the day
Michelle and I spent a lot of time trying to get to that lookout. Only was able to find it when we took the exit out. It's a nice spot to break and overlook everything. It also has some hints if you need help figuring out the last bit of maze
I forgot to mention it earlier, but in the maze there are these letter posts scattered around. When you start the maze you're given a little pamphlet that lets you write the letters down as you see them. At the end of the Maze, there is a photo of the layout and where all the letters were so you can sort of retrace the path you took through the maze.
This photo is taken from the Boat. Every time we got to the boat, it just reminded me of the map from Dead by Daylight with the boat in it. I think about that Fog Horn often.
These are scattered throughout the maze. It's honestly quite fun as while you're going through the maze you can hear some of these bells being rung.

These are some friends we made in the Maze! You end up bumping into the same people a lot and we bumped into these folks a bunch of times. For a while we all traveled together. We got chatting and one of them is a med-surge Nurse at the VA in Vermont. From Kentucky originally if I remember correctly. One of their names was Amber. Didn't get the others. It was a lot of fun though hiking with them, and getting to know them a bit! They wanted to complete the maze regularly though so we ended up parting ways right after this photo was taken as Michelle and I took the scenic path out. Just cool sort of running into people and making connections knowing that you're probably never going to see these people again. But they'll live on in this memory.
