Old Computer

I was working at my computer the other day and just sort of staring off into the distance and noticed my computer speakers.
As I stared at them they had me thinking about how long I've had them. I got them originally with the first computer I ever had. My dad had bought it for my brother and I. Over all of these years, I've somehow never replaced the speakers. I guess I've never had a reason to - they still work fine. I have no complaints about them. They get loud enough and still sound good to me. I then thought about how these were the last surviving part of that old computer - I had found it probably 10 years ago at my parents house and had taken the hard drive out to take a look at the old files. But after that, I think we probably e-wasted the computer. This then had me thinking "wait... how old are these speakers exactly"?
This led me to trying to figure out what computer I had exactly. I knew it was popular and I knew I had seen the keyboard that came with it everywhere, but what was it exactly? It would've been from the early 2000's. After some googling around and looking at images, I think it was a Dell Dimension B110 (or something that looked very much like it)
It's release date fits the timeline in my head, and so I'm pretty sure that was it. According to Wikipedia, the B110 came out in 2006 which would make sense for the memories I have. While looking all of this up, I remembered there was another part of this computer I had - the monitor.
I had used this monitor as a secondary screen for years, and only recently put it in storage because I've gotten other monitors. Taking a look at it, I saw it had a manufacturing date of 2005 (I assume it was made slightly before the desktop was but then packaged together?). So yeah, I've had all of this stuff for 20 years! And it still worked! Just kind of amazing to me how long this stuff had lasted.
This keyboard (the Dell SK-8115 I believe) I also had for the longest time, but can't seem to find now. I still see these things kicking around though with users I help for my job. Just again, amazing how well all this stuff was made and how long it's lasted.
I don't really have much more to say, or know how to wrap this up. Just thinking about all this stuff made me a bit nostalgic, and I wanted to share.
