A Story About My Uncle
A Story About My Uncle is a story driven, 3D platforming game. You play as a character from a story that the narrator is telling their child. It involves a grapple hook sort of mechanic to get around, with some exploration available and I think an overall interesting story. Read More
Baldurs Gate 3
If you're even remotely interested in Role Playing Games (RPGs), this is an immediate buy. If you like DnD, this is an immediate buy. If you like good story telling, this is an immediate buy. The only limiting factor for who should play this game, I think, is the hardware requirements. Read More
Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is a third person PVE shooter game. You play as Helldivers liberating the galaxy. The game features a great sense of progression and really commits to the bit. It's also refreshing that most of the unlocks in the game can only be unlocked by actually playing the game, rather than just paying money for them. Read More
Hi-Fi Rush
Hi-Fi rush is a really unique game to me because I haven't played anything quite like it. It's a rhythm fighting game, where you're rewarded if you're able to stick to the beat. I was a little hesitant about buying it since I didn't really have anything to compare it to, but in the end I'm very happy with my purchase. I really liked the art style and really enjoyed the parts where it looks like a comic book. Read More
Outer Wilds
Outer Wilds came across my radar with this post on Cohost (if you want to go into the game 100% blind, do not read that post, it contains an extremely minor spoiler you'd figure out early on in the game). Similar to what that poster said, my biggest recommendation would be to play the game as blind as possible. Don't look up any guides online, play it as far as you can before looking anything up. Because of that though, this post is going to seem really vague, as I'm going to do everything I can to avoid any sort of spoilers. Read More
Trash of the Titans
In Trash of the Titans, you play as a group of trash eating animals trying to protect your trash from Rats. The art style originally reminded me of Into the Breach, though as I looked at that game again, this one definitely has a more pixel art vibe. It's a turn based tactics game, so you will be going between characters and using their abilities to protect your trash. It's also a roguelike (lite?) where each run will present you with different ability options. The game also has randomized encounters. Read More
Triangle Strategy
Triangle Strategy is a strategy game in which you follow Serenoa as he navigates a medieval (with some minor fantasy) world with his friends. He's the son of a lord, and you'll take him into battle along with a whole host of different units. There is a lot of story to the game, and you'll make choices along the way that impact the story down the line. Read More
